A Disclaimer.

Things are happening in my life that J and I talk about, and I talk to nesties about. However, I don't talk to people in real life about it. So - if you are someone who reads my blog and knows me in real life, take care not to mention anything from this blog outside of the interwebs. It would be greatly appreciated :-)

That said - I went to the doctor today for my annual physical. I talked to her about being off the pill/charting, and TTC. I was wary of how she would react to charting, because I know many doctors don't 'agree' with it. However, she told me that as long as I am not stressing myself about it (I have not been) that it is fine, and it's good that I'm doing it so that I know when I ovulate. Yay! She also gave us the go ahead to start trying whenever we are ready. We will be waiting until the fall, but then all contraceptives will officially be kicked to the curb!

I realized today how much I like my doctor. I stayed with my ped until I got married (!!) because I loved her so much. But we both agreed that at 23 and getting married it was time to have an adult doctor lol. She recommended the doc I have now, and I had only seen her once before today. I talked to her over the phone last fall when I first went off the pill, and was not too happy with the answers she gave me. After today I am convinced I caught her on a bad day. I really really like her.

She talked to me about things to do medically before we start - I am all set there. She gave me a rec for an OB/GYN practice. And she told me to start taking PNVs now, just in case we have a surprise pregnancy. But the thing that made me most happy was her response when I told her that we get tons of unsolicted advice about having kids.

Some people have been asking us why we haven't started yet, others tell us we should wait a while, and I told her that. She looked me in the eye and said 'start when you want to start, don't listen to anyone else!' She said ya, you are young, but if you are ready, that's all that matters. It was so nice to hear that for once! Hardly anyone tells us that.

So anyway, all this random blabbing means this: as of now we are going to start TTC in the fall! Hooray! We are going to enjoy our last summer of just us, and hopefully by this time next year I will have a bun in the oven :-)
