It's the most random post of the yeeeaaar!

First off, I forgot I was going to post an 8 week belly shot on Wednesday, since my date was changed. So here is the picture I posted for BPF - 8 weeks 2 days, and my bloat shows through my chunky sweater. Be jealous.

Next up, our Christmas tree! I have been meaning to AW it since we got it last weekend. It's a wee bit short, but oh well. J and I grew up with different lights - my parents always had the big colored lights, his parents always had the little white lights.

So last year when it came time to decorate our first full sized tree, we came up with a compromise. I wrap little white lights around the tree about a foot or so inside. Then I put the big colored lights around the outside of the tree. You can't get the full effect in these pictures, but I loved the way it turned out.
And finally, let's talk about my morning sickness. Now I know I have been lucky so far because some people have it way worse. I still haven't thrown up once. But I must be honest, with the constant nausea, I almost wish I would just throw up already, because I'm starting to think it might give me some relief. I never thought I would say that.

That's all, just a quick and random post. I am uninspired today, what can I say. The babe is sucking out all my brain cells.

It's one of two things.

Either morning sickness is upon me, or I'm getting sick.

Seeing that as long as I keep food freshly into my stomach at all times I feel fine, but if I go more than an hour without eating I feel like vom, I'm gonna go with morning sickness.

Hopefully this will not turn into full on physically sick morning sickness. While this is not fun, if this is the worst it gets I will be more than happy to deal with it. I hate throwing up more than anyone I know, so I will be keeping the food down if it is the last thing I do.

And being Thanksgiving, I think it's worth noting how I am thankful with my entire being for this baby who is making me a) constantly nauseated unless I'm constantly stuffing my face, b) making my boobs feel like they will pop if you push them too hard (oh and Aaliya, I did not appreciate the kicks to the twins last night, thanks anyway), c) burp like it's going out of fashion, and d) exhausted beyond belief.

So much more thankful than I have ever been for anything in my entire life.

(Oh and Aaliya is my almost 2 year old niece. Who for the first time ever last night pointed to me when asked 'where is Auntie J?' I melted, and forgave her for the boob kicks on the spot, naturally.)

Can we talk about these boobs of mine?

Because woah. In the past 48 hours they have gone from normal to tender to sore to just woah. And I literally watched them change in appearance. They started getting rounder and firmer and now, bigger.

As in I was home for lunch and J said JESUS CHRIST YOUR BOOBS ARE HUGE! bigger.

Did I mention that I started out at a full C? I fear for how these puppies are going to look in 8 months when my milk comes in. Yikes!

Oh and a full post of the reaction from my parents, including a video, is to come.

Add another symptom to the list.

I believe the first tri exhaustion is setting in. Last night at 7:30 my eyes were drooping and if I let myself I easily could have fallen asleep on the couch.

Seeing as it was Thursday night, I was not going to let that happen. Thursday night is TV night in our house. The one night when we have shows that we watch religiously, every week.

At first I thought it was a cruel joke, making Community, Parks and Rec, The Office, 30 Rock, Flash Forward, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice all in one night. Now, I kind of like it because our lives don't revolve around our TV schedule all week. Usually we watch the first four on NBC, then at 10 watch Grey's. And the other two on Friday night, or when we get around to it.

If my body had it's way last night, I would have been passed out by 8. That wasn't going to happen when I wait all week long for The Office! I barely managed to stay awake to watch all the NBC shows until 10, and my eyes were burning by the end of it.

I'm talking four hours of sleep burning. I know, I know, imagine how it will be 9 months from now when I have a newborn. But I think it is safe to say I have a new symptom.

Bring it, babyCam. Bring it. I can take it all, because you will be so worth it.

Poppyseed.

I'll start doing the weekly quizzes at 5 weeks, but for now here's some 4 week info. Our little zygote (as J has been calling it) is the size of a poppyseed, and should be settling into my womb right now.

4 week belly shot, taken on Sunday afternoon. On the left, sucking it in. On the right, letting out the gut. Note I said gut. I do not have any bloat yet - I have looked like this since last spring. And yes I realize to other people there may not be a big difference in these two pictures, but humor me and let me believe I look thinner when sucking it in. Thanks.

Symptoms I am having so far:

Burping. Well, my kind of burp. For those of you who don't know yet, I can't burp. For as long as I can remember, I have not been able to. My mom even says I was nearly impossible to burp as a baby. Instead I do what can best be described as a gurgle in my throat. It's loud. And pretty much impossible to stifle. And doesn't release the pressure like burping should. But it helps a little.

I'd say about 3-4 times a year I have a real burp. It's a huge difference. And it happens when the gurgling gets so bad that finally my body is able to produce a burp. It has already happened once since Sunday. And since Saturday I have been gurgling nonstop. It normally only happens as a result of certain foods, but this has been from everything.

Cramps. Most of the time not like AF cramps, although sometimes they feel like that. But the rest of the time it's more of a twinging blubbling dare I say gurlging feeling. Almost like gas, but not.

Nausea. Not a lot of it, but I have felt a bit queasy here and there since last Tuesday. Nothing to write home about, and certainly nothing close to vomiting.

And of course the number one symptom that keeps me reassured that I really am pregnant - no AF! It has killed me not to buy more HPTs and keep peeing on them, but J would kill me if I did. He thought it was silly I peed on the second one on Monday. I am not kidding when I tell you he believed it immediately! I really wanted to buy a digital to see the word pregnant, but he made me promise not to. So I won't.

Finally, I solemnly swear to take and post a belly pic every week, even if there is no real change. Hopefully I will stick to this promise :-)
