holyfuckinshit. it worked.

I typed that last blog post months ago, as you can see from the 'post date' that it shows. And have not been able to get it to post until now.

I just found out it's just a stupid issue with IE9. All I had to do was click the compatibility button.

DUMB.

Well. Maybe I will be back with more then. We shall see.

Oh hai.

Well looky here, I have a blog. One that I promised to write in ohhhh two months ago. And the month before that, and the month before that. And then I never did. Oops. I really suck at this now. Which is sad, because I really enjoyed it before. Of course that doesn't mean that I didn't suck at it before. Hmm. Well either way, I am going to try again. I don't expect anyone to take me seriously, given my track record. But here we go...

This one time at band camp, I told you I was a domestic goddess on Easter. Yeah, that may have been an exaggeration. A true domestic goddess would have at least ironed the tablecloth. But I still loved my table!

PS - in my time away from blogger one would think they might have updated to a better system for inserting pictures. Notsomuch.

PPS - this is my eleventy billionth time attempting to post this in the past week. Will it work? We shall see!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Really? My last post had a typo in the title and it took me literally a MONTH to realize my mistake?!?!? HAHAHAHAHA oh my god you guys this is what my brain has come to. ALMOTS.

Well, happy Easter! Jameson is nomming away on a teething biscuit from the Easter bunny. His second one of the day, because he gave the first one to Billy. Oy. I went all crazy domestic-like this year, so I will have some pictures and a post soon.

March is almots over, right?

Right?? This month sucks! We started out with that damn ear infection. It didn't go away with the first antibiotics, so we went back in and sure enough it was now in both ears. Apparently certain ear infections are too strong for ammoxicilan, so we got him on something else.

Once we finally got that under control, he got a virus. Which I then got a few days later, except it hit me 10 times harder (better me than him, don't get me wrong!). I didn't eat or drink anything but some jello and juice for three days, not including the english muffin and egg which came back up two hours later. Can you imagine how my supply is doing right now?

So I'm back on the fenugreek, and pumping while he gets a bottle at night, because by the end of the day I don't have enough for him. I know it will come back, because I can see exactly what caused this, but man I am so done with this crappy sick month.

Plus, April also means a visit from two amazing friends from afar!! I CANNOT WAIT! And a new baby soon after that. April will be a better month. It has to be.

Not teething after all.

Nope, poor kiddo has an ear infection again. It's been going on for over a week and we just now figured out what that was. You can go ahead and pass that Worst Mother of the Year award my way!

Seriously though, my kid is just so happy. He's almost... too happy. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to change! But when something is wrong, he doesn't do a very good job of showing it. The first time he had an ear infection, he showed absolutely zero symptoms until he finally couldn't nurse because of the pain. This time, he nursed just fine, but refused solid foods. He did run a low temp off and on, but that plus the strike on solids and sometimes fussiness sounded just like teething.

Today, however, I decided enough was enough, seeing as I still wasn't seeing even a hint of anything in his mouth. Off to the doc we went, and it took two checks of the ears to find the puss (it was hiding behind some ear wax the first time).

One round of antibiotics later, and he downed 3ish oz of squash, 2ish oz of fruit, and had a mum mum for dessert. Yep, that's the baby I had been missing!

Did I mention my life is crazy?

Okay, so I know I said in the last post that I was going to blog weekly again. This is what happened since then:

93 year old grandmother goes into hospital with flu.
J gets sick again.
we start swim classes.
brother's birthday.
grandmother dies.*
wake.
funeral.
celebrate brother's birthday a bit late.
get mastitis AGAIN.
Jameson starts teething? gets sick? jury is still out.
etc etc etc.

So here we are three weeks later. Things are going well, except someone has messed with the time again. Because my baby is 7 months old today. WTF. But he is still the cutest thing ever. His latest skils are blowing raspberries, saying babababa brabrabrabra rararara dadadada and lots more, clapping (!!!), drumming his fingers over his mouth while saying baaaaaa so it's more like blablablabla, and slaying the ladies with his smile.

As I mentioned above, we started swim classes. OMG he loves it. My baby is totally a little fishie. I can't wait to bring him to the lake this summer!

Here is a teaser photo, because you know I'm a whore like that I try to keep some things private.

I'll try to give you some more teaser photos asap. I promise I have no more relatives over the age of 90 that may suddenly throw my life out of wack for a few weeks!

*no worries, I am doing fine. we weren't very close. at all.

A month later, and finally a new post.

Sigh. Who even reads this anymore? I mean really, I'd have given up on me by now if I were you.

So the naptime thing works great, but only if I never leave the house. Obviously not realistic. Between the days that I work in the office, all of the errands I need to run to keep this house functioning, and just my freakin sanity, there is no way I could just stay home all the time. Some days I get him to nap great, but most of the time we have to go out for one thing or another. Point being, the blog is still being neglected.

Let's see, what's new. Well, my baby is 6 months old. INSANITY. Seriously. This whole time flying thing is utter bull. I would like it to slow down now, please and thank you! I love it though. The 6 months thing, not the time flying thing. This is hands down the best age yet. He is just so much damn fun lately! He babbles like crazy, and the laughter never stops. I just can't get enough of him.

I took some 6 month pictures, so I'll try to get some faceless ones up here soon. We took a trip to Cali last week, and my babeh? Is a traveling pro. He was SO good on the plane, and did awesome with the three hour time difference. I don't know how. He's just the best baby ever. I'm so very very lucky!

That trip to Cali was such a tease though. For those of you who haven't heard, we are having an absolutely CRAZY winter here in New England. We have gotten like 4 feet of snow so far this winter. It's ridiculous. So needless to say it was really nice to spend 4 days in 65* weather!

That's pretty much all that's new with us. I'm going to try to make a point to blog weekly from now on. I've got plenty to blog about, just no time to do it! So if I force myself to make time, hopefully I will slowly get back into it.
